Rouaida Karoud and the late Antoine Labbade

Since 1981 Rouaida and her husband lived in Jobar, an outlying suburb situated to the east of Damascus.
They had six children: the two oldest Maher and Nadine were born in 1983 and 1985, Christine and Amira born in 1986 and 1987, and the youngest Katia and Majd born in 1991 and 1995.
In 2012, the hostilities forced the family to leave Jobar and find refuge in Jaramana after having lost all their belongings. The father Antoine, who had previously been active in the frozen meat industry, subsequently worked as an employee in the same field until 2014 when he died after suffering a stroke. After the death of her husband, Rouaida took on the same work and her health seriously deteriorated, principally due to her exposure to the cold. She now lives at home with two of her daughters Amira and Katia who have no work, while Majd was sent to Lebanon.
In these circumstances, aid from Coup de Pouce would enable Rouaida, as a matter of urgency, to obtain the medicine and care she needs, as well as provide the support to Majd to prepare for her return.
