Mouhtaz Alkazem and the late Reema Kougegame
Mouhtaz Alkazem and his wife Reema Kougegame lived in Deir ez-Zor where they both worked as agronomy engineers.
Mouhtaz and Reema had two girls and two boys:
Joud, 21, who was studying medicine, Majd, 19, who was also a medical student, Lama, 16, who attended secondary school, together with the youngest Taïm who is now 12 years old.
In 2011 Reema fell ill. Suffering from cancer she had to travel to Damascus with her husband to receive treatment. During these difficult years, the family had to make sacrifices, particularly in order to obtain the costly medicines necessary for Reema’s treatment.
In the beginning of 2016 when the war broke out in the Deir ez-Zor région, the whole family had to leave to find shelter in Aleppo. In March 2016, Reema died as a result of the illness from which she had been suffering for five years.
Today, the father Mouhtaz works in Aleppo in the field of agronomy but his income is not sufficient to meet all the family’s expenses, particularly those relating to accommodation and education.
Aid from Coup de Pouce would enable this family to meet their daily expenses , as well as those necessary for the continuation of their studies.
