Hichame Al-Tahah and Soubhier Moustafaa

The family which Coup de Pouce is proposing that you support in October comprises the father Hichame Al-Tahah born in 1968, his wife Soubhier Moustafaa born in 1978 and their three children - Aya born in 1995, Yousef born in 2006 and Massa born in 2009.

Until the commencement of the conflict which decimated Syria and in particular the region of Aleppo, the family of Hichame and Soubhier lived in the Aleppo suburb of Al-Sukkari where they owned an apartment. The father worked in a supermarket and the mother was a housekeeper. In 2013 the suburbs to the east of Aleppo were hit hard by the hostilities. Their apartment having been destroyed, the family found refuge in Al Fardos, another suburb of Aleppo.

Currently, Aya the oldest daughter lives with her parents and her three children (6, 5 and 4 years old), her husband having left the family home. She works more than ten hours a day at the hospital as a nurse, thus assuring the only income of the family. Her brother Yousef and sister Massa are continuing their studies in years 10 and 8.

As for the parents, they are both unwell. Hichame is suffering from a disc hernia and cannot work and Soubhier has rheumatoid arthritis and high blood pressure. Her treatment is no longer reimbursed so she must pay her own costs.

Under these conditions, aid from Coup de Pouce would enable this family to primarily meet their health expenses, but also slightly reduce the precarity of their daily lives.
